Ministry Development Process Chart
PHASE 1 Feasibility/Self Study
The Drafting Committee (of membership listed above or as adjusted by the St.
Paul¼s Vestry) will solicit input, by questionaire and by personal visit, from
Parish groups and interested individuals asking:
	1. What ministry roles would help you/your group more effectively to pursue your ministry?
	2. What ministry roles would enhance our life together.
Data collected will be presented to a Large Group Meeting of interested
	parishioners.

Using this data, the Drafting Group will then develop specific ministry role
descriptions which will be shared in an open forum of the congregation, with the
Vestry and with the Commission on Ministry for comment and revision.

A final draft will then be developed and adopted by the Vestry.

	The Drafting Group will disband.

PHASE 2 Discernment Committee

The Vestry will select a subcommittee to discern and call persons to prepare for
	particular roles
	OR
The Vestry will select 1/2 of a group, the other 1/2 to be elected at the Annual
Parish meeting in February to discern and call persons to prepare for particular
	roles.
	Steps:
	1. Educate Vestry about discernment Process
	2. Develop a lear, discreet and confidential process for calling individuals to join the team
	3. Integrate Consultant into the Process.

We will know we are done when there is a consensus in the Calling Team,
Vestry and COM that we have called the appropriate team for us.

Communication about the Calling Process will take place in Congregational
	Meetings throughout the process.

PHASE 3 Teambuilding/Training

Those called and accepted will embark on a period of Teambuilding/Training
together with whatever Ïat largeÓ members self select to join the process.
(the called are expected; the congregation is invited)

Small groups will be regularly updated on the learning/teambuilding process.

PHASE 4 Commissioning

A Commissioning of the Ministry Support Team will take place when
requirements of Teambuilding/Training and Canonical Proceedures are
completed under the supervision of the COM.

PHASE 5 Subsequent Processes

We understand that discernment/calling process will be repeated at future times
as ministry requirements/parish membership change and/or develop.
