The ěFinal Listî was presented to St. Paulís Vestry Thursday, Feb. 20 and to the Diocesan Commission on Ministry Saturday, Feb. 22; both groups approved the list without change.  If the list is approved by this Annual Meeting, then the Survey Team is disbanded.  A complete Survey Team report will be available in the office; it will contain all written reports from Survey meetings and minutes of Survey Team meetings.

At the final meeting of the Survey Team on Tuesday, Feb. 18, we used the ěTotal listî, combined with Survey Team membersí comments/observations, to arrive at the ěFinal Listî.  The ěTotal listî of suggested ministry roles is our complete ěraw dataî.

The ěCharge to Discernment Teamî at the bottom of page 2 is a suggestion, based on the Survey Teamís discussion Tuesday.  The Vestry was invited to modify the charge, since the Vestry (with approval of COM) has oversight of the overall process; the Vestry had no input regarding the charge, so it was left on the document.

The Vestry made the following decisions regarding moving forward to the Discernment process:

The Vestry will appoint the Discernment Team, currently projected at six members; nominations will be invited from the congregation.  We anticipate issuing the invitation for nominations in the April newsletter.

The ěreactionsî are included on the wall display to convey how members of St. Paulís who participated in the survey meetings view the overall process.  The ěexcitementsî convey a remarkably broad positive response.  We believe the ěconcernsî are generally the same ones that watchers of mutual ministry in this diocese have been aware of for many years.

Interesting observations:

1)     Only one ěat largeî member of St. Paulís attended a survey meeting.

2)     Scheduling survey meetings as part of the regular meetings of parish groups had a high impact on participation.
